Hi everybody! My name is Gary and I’ve been doing a lot of research into laundromats and seen how successful they can be. I’m on the path to retirement and looking to invest either in my own laundromat or franchise. I have $300,00 in start up capital and was wondering what my best options were, any thoughts?

Greetings from Florida. Sorry a little late in replying. How goes the search? Your intro caught my eye. You are a brave soul. Kudos to you for being interested enough to join the community and ask some questions. The Laundromat business can be a tough one. It will involve a lot of time, sacrifice, effort, and patience. The upside is that it can be and is very rewarding. But this type of business is not for everybody. You will have to be very honest with yourself with regards to the plan, your commitment level, friends and family support, if any, and how much work this entails. I’ve been in business for going on 16 years. No regrets but it’s not that easy. Good luck.
