How important is proximity to your home? If I live in Texas and find a good deal in Florida, is it reasonable to think I can run it from Texas? How often do semi-passive owners visit the store? Is there value in visiting if you don’t have employees?

Would love to hear both sides of this argument. Thanks, y’all!!!

I think it is possible to run from a distance but you really have to make sure you have a great management team that is handling the day to day operations of the store. While laundromats are often seen as “passive income” businesses, that is just not really the case. They can be less complicated than other businesses but still require management.

Check out this video with with Thomas Landenberger who runs a laundromat in Florida while living in Italy! This is right up your alley!

Anyone else have any input in this discussion? Would love to hear it!
