Is 20 ‘ too narrow ?
I am asking from a customer feel and flow perspective.
Or does it work ?
20 to 25 feet in depth and 100’ to 120 ‘ long
It does seem like when customers walk in they will be faced with the. machines but curious if the length of this shape would make up for the lack of depth.
Ever seen any laundromats with this shape ?

If this is a new build, meaning you have to invest in the infrastructure I think this space does not make sense.

Try and shoot for 8 foot aisle’s. Its not always possible and in most cases won’t happen. So think of how much room is between the washers, dryers and folding tables in your stated size. I personally need to visualize everything. Look for a laundromat that is roughly that size and see if that works.

I spoke to a person in another state that builds stores and asked about this shape.
They said it would work and gave some really great advice on key factors on the way to layout and place equipment and other items in this shape of building.
I looked at the preliminary plans and the layout matched perfectly to what was described by the independent source.
Funny you mention visualize, today I went looking for buildings I thought were about the same size. Took a laser measure to get readings. I carry one of these into stores to test my estimation of sizes.
Related to the shape it has to do with the shape of the land/lot and to keep the building facing the road and still allow for 16 parking spaces.

Jason, oddly I found a store tonight that gave me an idea of the space and more importantly how much customer space in an area 20′ with large machines on one wall and no machines on the opposite wall, including a folding table against the “empty” wall.
This store is about half the overall size and in a different orientation but provided enough of an idea to lessen my initial concern or question.

That’s good to hear. I have a hard time understanding how things will look or be used unless I am actually standing in the space.
